HAIR OF THE DAY

Hi Ladies & Gents,

This is my hair of the day, I wanted to try something different so this is what I came up with. I call it my Side Mohawk. The Mohawk is french rolled from the top to the back on one side and secured with a small black band. It took me about a hour and a half to do only because my hair is so thick.  I do luv the fact that my hair is thick n full especially at my age.  I was going to wear it for the week but it was kinda hard keeping it up although I would wrap it at night. The sides and back were cool but the top would not lay as flat as I wanted. It probably look better if my hair was freshly done but I do not like my hair having the manicured look.  I like when my hair fill in the parts and have that nappy look going on. That's just me, Happy 2 B Nappy.  Anywho, hope you like the pics!

THE METAMORPHOSIS OF SALVATION

Hi Ladies & Gents,

Since its Sunday, just want to send out a lil inspiration, this is another poem written by me that I wanted to share...Be Blessed!

We are God's creation
yet we act as it there's no affiliation
here's the situation
before our separation
we were in constant communication
with only one stipulation
that there be no participation
in the mis-education of the enemy
God knew Satan would make accusations
regarding his operation
to cause misconceptions
about how things were supposed to be
yet we gave in to temptations
believed his allegations
that brought about a disassociation
to the highest degree
with sheer determination
God made a declaration
that he would bring about a reformation
he decided that receiving salvation
would be the only justification
to make this transformation
however after much observation
God thought he would give us another try
love was the motivation
that brought about this compensation
Now that I have shed light in your direction
let there be no procrastination
God only asks the we spread the gospel all across the nation
as an indication of the admiration that he has for us

IS BLONDE THE NEW BLACK

Hi Ladies & Gents,


Is blonde the new black? I've notice quite a few young ladies sporting blonde hair.  Some look rather good, however, there are some that look like, well, let me keep that opinion to myself, lol! Although, I never tried wearing my hair totally blonde, there were times when I would add some blonde highlights with that spray coloring they sold in the beauty supply stores. Yall remember that, lol! It served the purpose though. I used to be really militant about wearing blonde hair but learned that people have a right to wear their hair as they please. Bottom line, its just hair right?  However, I do not dismiss the origin of how the whole blonde thing can into play with Afro-Americans. What's your opinion about Afro-American women wearing blond hair?  Below is some pics of some sista's who well I say, Wear It Well...

PRE-MOTHER'S DAY PHOTO SHOOT

Hi Ladies & Gents,

Today I want to share with you my photo shoot, taken the day before Mother's Day. I was cleaning & preparing food since my oldest brother was visiting from Maine for the weekend and decided to play around with my Webcam afterwards. I love taken pictures, my own that is. Can yall tell, I always wanted to be a model. I never pursued it basically because of my height, I'm only 5'4". I guess in some kind of way, I live it out like this, lol. I like to say, this is my way of being the America Next Top Model (ANTM), lol. By the way, I love that show. I can watch it all day.  This is definitely one of my  motivations. I'm always inspired after watching it,  I guess because I am a dreamer by nature anyway. Anywho, I hope you like the pics, PEACE!

SEXY @ 50

Hi Ladies & Gents,


This is a quick view of how I see Life at 50...Who said, You still can't be sexy at 50. Wrong, we are not old, not young, but as some say, mid-life. Mid-life is somewhat a turning point in one's life. Some get depressed during these stages, both men and women. Its often the time when our body changes. For women, the booty doesn't stick out as much, it becomes wide instead of upright, lol, the way you eat changes; eating healthier foods,  you even vision the act of dying; yada, yada, ya!  I never wanted to think about that, Whew!

Anywho, I am going to enjoy my life to the best of my ability. I never cared really how anyone viewed me. I knew I love people whether they love me in return. I treated everyone with respect and 99.5 % of the time I would always speak. I was just raised that way. I love God and really not concern with where I would end up after leaving this world. The only thing I focus on is getting to see my maker. To have lived this life and die and not have the opportunity to meet my creator with open arms would defeat the whole purpose of my being.  That's how I feel about that!  

Turning 50 is a great accomplishment for all who reach it, so if you turned 50 or about too, please celebrate. I celebrated mine by having a 70's party. Took lots of pics. I wanted something I knew I would remember and could look back and smile upon in later years. Last thing, at 50 I've learned that the sun is much brighter, every bird sings louder, a smile is a gift, and every life is precious and last but not least, we must take care of our body because if we don't, it definitely will take care of us, PEACE!

Today I'm coming to you with my hair & outfit of the day. I was inspired by Rihanna with the hair, taken from her Rudeboy Vid. Hope you guys like how I styled it with my locs. My outfit & shoes came from local stores in my area; Lexy, Styles, and Gussini. It consist of a mixture of coral/orange/yellow earring, coral low/high blouse, mint green front zip leggings, multi-colored platform heels. Hope you like the look, PEACE!
