ANDRE3000 INSPIRED

Hi Ladies & Gents,

Today I am showing an outfit that is Andre3000 inspired. Looking through IG, I can across this picture of him and Mariah Carey. It is so much I can say about Andre3000 style. He is definitely one of a kind, impeccable style, seems only he can pull off. I guess I am about to get schooled because, it is nothing like a brother who not only can dress, but mixed fabrics and colors. I mean he goes in with the wigs and everything. He has so much swag and is plain old sexy. That smile gets me every time, lol.

Okay, before I get carried away, lol. I decided to create this look inspired from this picture of him. What I can up with is a yellow bandanna, a red/white checker shirt, a striped high-waist skirt with suspenders attached and a pair of black heels. in addition, I added a yellow wooden bracelet, a silver watch, and cat eye shades. I must say I was feeling myself, lol. I hope you all like how I style it. I will be definitely taking more pages out of his notebook, lol. Also, I want to thank all my supporters. I'm getting close to 10,000 hits so yes, at my age, I am so grateful that you all like what I offer. I am about to turn 53 in two weeks and all I can say is God renews not only my strength but my youth. Much luv & continue to come back for more. Also, please share. Peace & Blessings!

LOCS & COLOR

Hi Ladies & Gents,

Today is Loc Appreciation Day (LAD) 2014 and since I could not partake in any of the festivities. I decided to pay homage by showing these beauTies sporting a variety of colorful locs. Last week, I showed you guys some of my relax or natural sistas sporting different hair colors. See "Afro-American Women Rocking Color" under the label, Hair of the Day. Today I bring you LocStars.

Being a Locstar myself, what better way to showcase how we roll. I love the fact that we are embracing our natural hair whether it is a twistout, cornrows, braids or locs. In addition, we are playing with colors too. When I saw these pics on Instagam (IG), I had to share them on my blog. These ladies are fierce with it. Do not be surprise if you see you. Sending a big Thank You to all the beautiful ladies who allowed me to use their pics. Check out them and I hope you are or will become inspired as I am. Thanks for you continue love & support. Much Luv!

REMEMBER THIS, LOL I DO...

DIY PROJECT: SHREDDED JEANS

Hi Ladies & Gents,

Today I am showing you how I styled my shredded jeans. I have been seeing rip, distressed and shredded jeans sold in stores. I told myself I was not going to purchase any but I had too after seeing so many fashionista's wearing them. As far as the shredded jeans, I refused to buy any of them. This pair had to be made. Therefore, I went to my local thrift store and brought two pairs of jeans. One in a light blue and the other dark. My husband needed a new project so I had him cut them up for me. Of course I told him how I wanted them. Actually, I think he did a great job.

To create the look, he cut the strips going up the middle of the pants first then around. After that, he washed them. I wanted the back strips to come down a little lower, I was not trying to give up any butt cheeks, lol. I was going for more of the sexy look not ratchet. Yall know how I do. Love the sexy but classy, lol. The front middle section have a higher split because I wanted some part of the pockets to be shown.

To complete the look, I paired it with two different tops, a Cami and a graphic T-shirt with Angela Davis on it. The shirt was purchased at a natural hair show in Baltimore a couple of years ago but I love it. In addition, I included a yellow crop jacket, purchased from Gussini. Lastly, I added a pair of black heels from Lolashoetique. I love how the whole thing came together. By the way, the hubby loved them. He thought the look was sexi but classy as well. The pictures are below. Hope you guy like them as much as I do. Thanks for the luv & support. Much Luv!
